The Minneapolis metro area, with a population of over two million is home to a well developed food industry because of which there are a lot of food services jobs in Minneapolis. These food services jobs not just cook jobs such as short order cooks to those working in upscale restaurants. Food services jobs are a relatively well paying field in the Minneapolis region and most people in the meat processing plants can expect to work around 40 hours a week with scope for overtime. The pay at several plants is a little more than minimum wage but supervisors can expect to make at least $ 36,000 a year.
